2024-10-20 Worship Bulletin

WELCOME!

We are thankful God led you to worship with us at North Etowah today! Jesus leads us to be a family that extends His grace, mercy, and forgiveness to everyone. If you do not have a church home, we would love for you to be a member of our church family!

We would love to get to know you better! Please take a moment and fill out our Connection Card.

IT’S SHOEBOX TIME!

Shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child are available in the Worship Center and in the Second Street Office area. We only have cardboard boxes currently, but plastic boxes are on the way!

If it is your first time filling a shoebox or need a refresher, lists of suggested (and prohibited) items are located on the front center pew and at this link.

Filled shoeboxes are due back to the church by Sunday, November 17.

BUSINESS MEETING
Tonight, 6:00pm, Fellowship Hall
HALLOWEEN OUTREACH
October 31, 4:00-6:00pm, Corner of 8th and TN Ave.

This year, in lieu of a Fall Festival, we are going to participate in the City of Etowah’s Candy Junction. We will hand out candy, tracts, etc. in front of Southern Heritage Antiques and Gifts (thanks to Katie Ragsdale) located at the corner of 8th Street and Tennessee Avenue.

For the event, we need lots of individually wrapped candy to handout. Boxes are located at Second Street, the Worship Center Vestibule, and the Nursery Carport entrance. We also welcome any volunteers who would like to help the night of the event.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR MUSICAL
Sunday, November 3, 6:00pm, Worship Center

Join us for “Jailhouse Rock!,” an upbeat musical drama about our freedom in Christ as believers.

Everyone is invited to stay for a fellowship afterward. Please bring a finger food to share.
DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
Sundays, 5:00pm, Conference Room

A study of David Jeremiah’s book Where Do We Go From Here? begins this afternoon.

About the book from Dr. Jeremiah’s website: “So what do we do with prophecy? Through Where Do We Go From Here?, let’s discover how God can give us the strength and courage to live as powerful Christians in today’s culture—to not be filled with doom but of victory. The “sky is not falling,” but rather, the King is coming! Don’t curse the day, live fully in it! It is our time in history and our specific mission as believers to live a life filled with the hope of His glorious return.”
WEDNESDAY PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY
Wednesdays, 6:00pm, Fellowship Hall

Please join us as we pray and seek God’s Will for our nation and our church. Prayer is not the least we can do; it is the most we can do.
